Clive Curtis brings a long and distinguished career spanning over 40 years in the public and charity sector to his role as Company Secretary (Designate) for the British Omani Society, including the last 25 years at Glamorgan Voluntary Services. Retiring from his position as Governance Lead & Operational Manager (Deputy CEO) at Glamorgan Voluntary Services in April 2025, Clive has a proven track record of supporting Boards, ensuring effective governance structures, and fostering strategic development within the charity sector. He has demonstrated strong leadership by securing key funding and implementing effective initiatives, resulting in tangible and long-lasting community impact.
Beyond his professional achievements, Clive holds a deep and enduring affection for the Sultanate of Oman, sparked by an early fascination with the country at around the age of ten. This interest has blossomed into a genuine connection, marked by numerous visits over the years and the valued friendships he has cultivated with Omani people across the nation. He has also warmly welcomed many Omani visitors to the UK, further strengthening these ties.
As a long-standing member of the British Omani Society, Clive is deeply committed to its mission of fostering good relations between the UK and Oman.
