The British Omani Society hosted a festive private viewing of the Oman archives at the Royal Geographical Society on the 11th of December, 2024.
The evening was a huge success! Our attendees got into the seasonal spirit with some mulled wine and mince pies before heading down into the viewing rooms for an exclusive presentation led by the wonderfully insightful Jamie Owen (FRGS).
The event was a rare encounter with historical archives that are often only handled by specialists, our guests were able to get up close and personal with beautiful maps, rarely seen photography and engage with tangible history.
