Thinking of visiting Oman? Our expert speakers will introduce you to contemporary travel in Oman, highlighting top sites, tours and their own adventures in this geographically varied and culturally rich country.
This Omani themed event will open with networking drinks and Omani/Arabic refreshments and music to give you a tiny taster of the country from London.
The evening will be introduced by Rob Wilson of Four Agency Worldwide. Our speakers are Mark Evans MBE, Ex-Outward Bound Oman Executive Director, and Marc Leaderman of Wild Frontiers. The talks will be followed by opportunities for questions and further discussion with the speakers.
Mark Evans:
Mark will speak about his two decades of adventurous travel in Oman, from 55 day solo kayak journeys from Musandam to Yemen, an 80 day slow journey on camel and by foot from Salalah to Muscat, on using the desert as part of a UNESCO recognised TE Lawrence inspired peacebuilding programme and a 49 day crossing of The Empty Quarter, the largest sand desert on earth. He will also share plans for his upcoming 30 day Jewel of Oman project.
Marc Leaderman
Marc will give an overview of the country and talk through some of the highlights and practicalities for visitors. He will also explain the small group tours and tailor-made options that Wild Frontiers offer in Oman.
About the speakers:
