Navigating through Oman’s Fiscal and Diversification Reforms

Join Hamid Hamirani, former advisor to Oman's Minister of Finance, as he will briefly talk about the 2008 financial crisis, the low price of oil between 2014 and 2020, and his involvement in business and government boards. The focus areas of his talk will include:

  1. Key Economic Indicators:
    • Present status and forecasts
  2. Opportunities & Challenges:
    • Assessment of the business landscape in Oman for businesses.
  3. Potential Reforms:
    • Recommendations to attract long-term sustainable investments in Oman.

While this event is focused for our corporate members, all Society members with an interest are welcome to attend.

About the speaker:

Hamid is the Managing Principal for EHA Advisory and is currently advising the Rwanda Sovereign Wealth Fund, developing a strategic investment and capacity development plan.

He is the Former Advisor to the Minister of Finance, Oman and has previously advised the Australian Retirement Fund (Assets Under Management of over AUD 200 billion). He is also the Public Finance Lead for the Good Food Finance Network, where he developed an Innovative Collaborative Funding Model for de-risking investment in sustainable food and agriculture which has been adopted by Rwanda Development Fund and CNFA- USAID.
