Her research interests address the Wahiba tribe in northern Oman, and in particular in human-camel relations. She aims to highlight cultural processes, protocols at camel racing specifically, and camel society in general. Currently, she is working on research entitled “Camels in Omani culture: Narratives and interpretations beyond the human-animal binary"

She started an ethnography research about a Bedouin culture in the Middle East desert and while collecting and immersing herself in the culture to provide a thick description to some of the cultural process, protocols, feelings of camel racing, and many other communicative acts. Her research area is more of a focus on cultural & social anthropology and communication.

As a member of the Wahiba tribe which originates  from Wahiba sands she has the privilege to provide an authentic explanation to some of the cultural acts that take place during, before, and after the camel racing, she also has access to informants who can provide narratives, historical views and implications.
