Building Government Digital Infrastructure: Insights from Oman and the UK

Corporate Members Register for the webinar here

The British Omani Society is pleased to host a high‑level panel discussion exploring how the United Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman are developing secure, modern digital governments underpinned by sovereign cloud infrastructure and robust national digital strategies.

As part of the Society’s mission to deepen understanding and strengthen collaboration between the UK and Oman, this event brings together leading voices from government, the technology sector, and national digital transformation initiatives. The discussion will examine how both countries are designing and implementing e‑Government systems, sovereign cloud capabilities, and the digital infrastructure required to support secure, reliable, and citizen‑centric public services.

Panellists will explore the policy, regulatory, technical, and operational considerations shaping national approaches to cloud adoption, including the role of the private sector, the protection of sensitive government data, and the pursuit of cloud‑enabled innovation. The session will also highlight tangible outcomes achieved through digital government modernisation and the opportunities for further UK–Oman collaboration in this space.

The webinar will be moderated by Chris Breeze, Vice‑Chair of the British Omani Society.
