Join the British Omani Society for a youth-focused online webinar highlighting the opportunities available through its flagship youth programmes, with particular emphasis on Student Volunteers Oman (SVO), for which applications open in January. Designed for students and early-career individuals with an interest in Oman, international experience, and cultural exchange, the session offers a clear introduction to how the Society enables young people to gain meaningful overseas experience.
Participants will hear from Society staff and programme participants about the range of youth schemes on offer, before a detailed exploration of Student Volunteers Oman. This segment will outline what the scheme involves, who can apply, the skills and experiences participants gain, and how applications are assessed. Current and recent volunteers will share first-hand perspectives on volunteering in Oman, daily life on the programme, and the personal and professional value of taking part.
The webinar will conclude with an extended live Q&A, giving attendees the chance to ask questions about the SVO scheme and the application process. Whether you are actively considering applying, exploring international volunteering opportunities, or looking to share a high-quality opportunity with students, this session provides a practical introduction to one of the British Omani Society’s highly-regarded youth programmes.
